Area Law Enforcement
Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.
Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a statement.
Law enforcement report they were notified during the night on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.
The substance had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.
Police then located numerous other marked automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.
Officials state early analysis show the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.
"At present there remains no lead as to its source; investigators are currently not informed of any physical harm in connection with the occurrence," they added.
City officials stated they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the public for details.
A high-ranking official commented the incident left him stunned and needed to be resolved promptly.
"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he posted on a platform, recalling the murder of nine people by a assailant aiming at residents of migrant background in five years prior.
