I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
